It’s always awesome when I get to work among friends and family, so this session for my brother in law’s brand launch was just a blast.
Keep your eye out for Bold Buffalo apparel!
Session hosted in downtown Griffin.

Lauren's Grad Photos
I had a ball doing these photos for my friend Lauren, who recently survived nursing school. What better way to celebrate, than to go to the Serenbe Farms and set off smoke bombs with giant balloons?!
See some of her gallery here!

Happy Fall Y'all
If you’re a mom, you know kids are totally random, and it really keeps life exciting in my personal opinion. Anyways, its fall here in Georgia, also known as summer’s second wind, and all things autumn are in the grocery store full force. I’m talking pumpkins, candles, cinnamon everything FULL FORCE.
So we stumbled across this “fancy corn” as my daughter called it and the girl. freaked. out. So like any mom-tographer I bought it to use as a prop and she insisted we have a photoshoot right then. So, we raced home, changed as fast as we could, threw shoes on on our way out the door and decided to go to the beautiful field across the street from our home thats about to be developed since we won’t be able to go there much longer.
Anyways, after all of the chaos that ensued, I think we got a pretty cool result.
Sisterhood of the Traveling Dress
Recently, I got to participate in the coolest project! A photographer in Oregon, found a fantastic dress and decided it’s beauty needed to be shared and transformed to fit several other visions, so the Traveling Dress Project was formed! After a series of scheduling conflicts, I ended up on the other side of the camera, and the other half of our team, Jeremy, took over entirely of the session. Editing was done by yours truly.
The dress itself was soooo soft, and this awesome periwinkle color, and honestly not too out of the ordinary as far as clothing goes (aside from its best feature, POCKETS), but the concept behind it just made it so magical. It was such an odd feeling wearing this dress though. All I could think about the entire session was about all of the other women who got to wear it, and if they were thinking about who else was going to wear it too. What were they like? What did they look like? What were their dreams and opinions? What was their day to day life like? We’re they models? Photographers? Moms? Business people? Adventurers??
And it was like being connected, all of us different entirely but interlinked through this blue piece of clothing. It was almost nostalgic when I pondered it.
Anyways, here is what Jeremy and I came up with! It was so fun to work with my spouse as an artist and see myself the way that he sees me, and there’s beauty in just that itself.
I’ll be tagging the next photographer who has the dress shortly! Stay tuned folks.
When life hands you lemons, make lemonade…
And when life hands a photographer a new puppy, make ridiculously cute puppy newborn sessions.
I mean how cute is this little dude guys?!
We have another weenie dog (Daisy) at home as well as our herd of four little kids. The Herd had been BEGGING incessantly for months to get a puppy. And when I say incessant, I mean day and night, every time they thought of it. They even got the two year old in on it guys.
So as any good parents do, we decided to prank them.
Jeremy told them in his firmest dad voice that we could never get another dog ever as the one we have is too high maintenance. He did this so much that they actually started to believe it might be true.
*insert depressed yet still determined kids here.
Little did they know we were planning for weeks to rescue a puppy and had already picked one out or them. To bum them out even more, I told them we had to go to the pharmacy and wait for a few hours, and that was our “errand” that day. The poor kids were so bored and done with the day and just wanted to go home by the time we got to pick up the puppy. I can’t even begin to describe the joy in their eyes when they got to meet “Bobo” for the first time. It was like Christmas in July y’all.
And thats the story of how our house officially became a zoo.
Heather got an amazing surprise for her 50th at the Mill Creek Venue. I mean, seriously how cute is this? Her husband went out of his way to plan the spectacular event and invited all of her closest friends and family. You could really feel the love!
This was a super fun session I did recently while in California. If you’re ever in Grass Valley, take some time to visit The Empire Mine. It’s freaking magical if you asked me, and it is actually where I shot my very first photography session back in the day so it holds some sentiment to me.
